Canyoning
What’s this ?
Canyoning is the sport of jumping into a fast-flowing mountain stream and allowing oneself to be carried downstream at high speed.
We start with floating and swimming down the river through parts where the current is weak.
We then move into where the current is stronger – in the narrows such as gorges and ravines – and down waterfalls as the levels drop.
Canyoning involves the use of abseiling, jumping and sliding to get from the top of a canyon to the bottom.
